“Exploring PDM2: Bringing Depth to Diagnosis”
Larry M. Rosenberg, Ph.D.
Saturday, October 30 & November 6
10:30am - 12:00pm
These seminars will address the distinctions between the PDM2 and the DSM-5, as well as the ways in which they are complimentary. More specifically, basing diagnoses solely on what is measurable and observable is helpful for research purposes, but often lacks utility for clinicians providing psychotherapy for patients. Participants in this seminar will become familiar with the philosophy that underlies the PDM2, and ways in which it assists in case formulation and meaning in diagnosis.
Dr Larry Rosenberg is a licensed clinical psychologist. For many years he was the Clinical Director of The Child Guidance Clinic of Stamford, where he supervised many clinicians and interns. He is also the Past President of Section II, Division 39 of the American Psychological Association. In addition to maintaining a private practice, Dr. Rosenberg serves as Adjunct Faculty at the Postgraduate Program, Derner School of Psychology at Adelphi University.
This meeting is designed for the Early Career and Student Membership of CSPP and is free of charge.
