An Exploration of Basic Psychodynamic Theory and Practice: An Interactive Discussion,

This is a Zoom meeting

Limited to 12 participants


This will be an interactive 90 minute group discussion exploring basic concepts of psychodynamic theory and practice. Participants will be asked to discuss areas of theoretical and clinical practice that they wish to identify and understand more fully. The group will end by determining if there is an interest in continuing this format for an ongoing seminar. Dr. Unterbach will continue on as the group leader with the potential for establishing a senior led peer support & learning group.

Dee Unterbach, DSW, LCSW is a psychodynamically trained psychotherapist practicing in Wilton, treating adults and older people. In her early social work career Dee was a co -founder of VERITAS, a therapeutic community for teenagers with substance abuse issues and then helped to start SPOP, the first geriatric mental health clinic in NYC. Dee has been on the training faculties of The Brookdale Center on Aging & Hunter School of Social Work where she co-developed and implemented trainings for a variety of human service staff, primarily those who worked in supportive housing. More recently she taught undergraduate social work interns at Hunter College.
